The Engineer In The Snow

A Fantastical Erotic Fugue for Planet Earth by Sandra Fiona Long

An erotic quest to save planet Earth.

Inspired by adult animation, and riffing off trashy romance literature, The Engineer in the Snow turns trad erotic romance on its head. Here the ultimate erotic fantasy is to experience the vulnerability and pain of the planet, and also the erotic potential of its renewal. Told through the imagination of one woman, performed by Emily Tomlins, within a world of interactive vocals, foley and visual design, this poetic new work is created by an award-winning multidisciplinary team from Australia and Indonesia. Join us for a transcendent journey crossing exquisite landscapes. Be plunged into visions of global economic disparity and environmental destruction. And celebrate the power of the imagination to achieve anything.

"Hades Fading (Hades Memudar) is a dream. It is a beautiful dream. It is a nightmare. It is funny, it is hope, it is despair, it is a warning. It is art."
- What Did She Think (Hades Fading)

"A chamber piece composed in an elusive key, it bends every instrument of the theatre into ephemeral harmonies where love rises to meet death, and memory imagination."
- The Age (Duets for Lovers and Dreamers)
