‘The Engineer in the Snow’ has received a Seaborn, Broughton & Walford Foundation grant!

I am writing this from on the traditional lands of the Cammeraygal people, in Neutral Bay, North of Sydney Harbour, where I just attended the The Seaborn, Broughton & Walford Foundation end of year gathering, and performing arts grants and playwrights award announcements. Along with some heartwarming speeches, carols, lovely food and drink, there were 17 grants announced, out of 88 submissions from individuals and organisations. It is an honour to be supported amongst this group of diverse projects. This grant is very welcome, as we have been working on this project for a long time, and this is our first funding support. It will support a creative development of ‘Engineer’ in 2026, before it’s presentation in December. We have an amazing team, including my friend Deden Bulqini who will join us from Indonesia. There will be more announcements about this soon..

Myself, with some of the grant recipients! Sorry don’t have their names handy just now!!

You can learn more about the Rodney Seabourne foundation, and Rodney himself who was an amazing benefactor of theatre as well as a philanthropist in other areas here. I imagine they will update their page soon with the recent grantees.

We create, work and play on the lands of the Wurundjeri People people of the Kulin nations. We acknowledge that this land has never been ceded and always try to tread gently on this land.
