Creative Development Residency

It seems like only yesterday I spent an amazing 2 weeks at La Mama, with multi-disciplinary artist and musician Gemma Horbury and Producer Kat Carrington, developing a new work based on my blog posts- my first ever attempt at creating a Lecture Performance. We worked on one of my posts….

How I survived a bot attack, stumbling through a sea of click farms

… as a starting point, layering vocals, trumpet and animated visuals in a Powerpoint presentation. This is the second time I have worked on this piece following presenting it as part of the Cybernaughts program in the Daylesford Words in Winter Festival last year, and we will have another little development of it in the next couple of months. It is a work about neurodivergence, online marketing, social pressure and the dark side of social media, and is the first I have made which openly tackles my personal challenges with neurodivergence.

We create, work and play on the lands of the Wurundjeri People people of the Kulin nations. We acknowledge that this land has never been ceded and always try to tread gently on this land.
